Ornamental Entrance Railings for a Historic Columned Building

Some buildings don't forgive shortcuts. This one greets visitors with white columns, curved marble steps and a century of history, and it needed new railings that could pass modern code without looking like they were bolted on last Tuesday.

We forged the railings with traditional scrollwork profiles, rolled to follow the curve of the steps exactly. Every section was templated on site, fabricated in the shop, then finished in a deep satin black that reads original to the building. Guard heights, baluster spacing and anchoring all meet current commercial code, which is the part nobody sees but every inspector checks.

Historic and commercial railing work like this is a specialty of ours. The same crew that welds modern cable rail in new construction can match hundred year old ironwork closely enough that you'd never spot the seam, and that range is rare.
