A Lakefront Steel Deck and Cable Railing Package

Lake properties are hard on decks. Humidity swells the framing, slopes complicate the footings, and every year of weather shows. This client wanted outdoor living space that matched a strikingly modern home and wouldn't need rebuilding in a decade, so we skipped lumber framing entirely.

The structure is welded steel, set on posts we placed for the slope instead of fighting it. Over that went the decking, and around it all runs a black steel cable railing that keeps kids and dogs safe without putting a single picket between the owners and their water view.

Most of the welding on this one happened on site. Our mobile rig means the fabrication comes to the property, which matters when you're working over a slope at the water's edge. The photo below shows one of our welders finishing stair rail right on the steps.
